History"Lake Texoma was constructed in 1944 on the Red River between Texas and Oklahoma.
The purpose was for flood protection and hydroelectric generation. Then, in
1965, striped bass were introduced into the lake. Since 1965, the 89,000 acre lake
has produce striped bass up to 35.2 pounds. Through the years, Lake Texoma has become one
of the premier inland striped bass fisheries in the nation. To attest to the number
of striped bass in the lake, Texoma has the most liberal bag limit for striped bass in the
nation." Chuck Pilant enjoys guiding clients on beautiful Lake Texoma for
striped bass and has been in the striper fishing guide business for over a

Striper fishing is my specialty and I love to introduce new fishermen and women to the sport of striper fishing.
